During the summer season we have 3 full time techs to repair your unit in a timely fashion. All Mosquito Magnet's are completely cleaned, repaired and tested prior to return shipping. We usually repair and return most units within 3 - 7 business days. Each unit is operated a minimum of 48 hours prior to receiving its satisfactory seal. Warranty repairs take priority and are returned withing 3 business days of arrival at our repair center. Currently we work on all Defender, Liberty, and Liberty Plus Mosquito Magnets. We will also work on the newer Pro and Pro Plus units. However we do not work on the older Commercial Pro's and Freedom models. The Mosquito Magnet mimics a large mammal by emitting a plume of carbon dioxide, heat and moisture, which when combined with an additional attractant, Octenol or Lurex becomes irresistible to female mosquitoes (the ones that bite), no-see-ums, biting midges, black flies, and sandflies.

The patented counterflow technology allows the Mosquito Magnet to emit a plume of carbon dioxide, heat, and moisture to attract biting insects, while simultaneously vacuuming the insects into a net where they dehydrate and die. No electric killing grid or pesticides are used.

The Mosquito Magnet operates 24 hours a day in order to capture day-biting, as well as night-biting blood-seeking insects. Biting insects such as the Aedes aegypti (carrier of Dengue Fever), Aedes Japonicus (carrier of the West Nile Virus), salt marsh mosquitoes, no-see-ums, midges, and sand flies are all active biters during the daylight hours.
